BUILDING A BETTER FUTURE

WITH THE BRIDGE TO LIFE TEEN HOMES

Bridging Youth to Bright Futures

Bridge to Life Teen Homes is a California nonprofit 501(c)(3) serving youth ages 13–21 who are in the foster care system and cannot live with a family. Our mission is to empower these young people with life-changing skills, stable housing, and ongoing guidance so they can transition from dependence to independence with confidence.

Many of the youth we serve have faced trauma, instability, and exposure to challenging circumstances. Our program equips them with practical tools to manage behaviors, pursue education, and build a pathway to college or a skilled career. By providing housing, support, and mentorship, we help them navigate the journey to self-sufficiency and sustainable success.

Bridge to Life is fully recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is licensed by the State of California as a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program, underscoring our commitment to safe, evidence-informed care.

What is a STRTP?

A Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) provides round-the-clock care and intensive mental health services for children and youth removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or exploitation. It creates a safe, therapeutic environment that supports healing, resilience, and a path toward stability.

What We Offer:
  • Comprehensive Therapy: Individual, group, and family therapies tailored to each youth’s needs.
  • Education and Enrichment: Structured learning and recreational activities that support growth and development.
  • 24/7 Care: Around-the-clock staffing and support to ensure safety and consistency.
  • Holistic Support: Access to supports that address emotional, social, and behavioral well-being.
Goals and Outcomes:
  • Help youth process trauma and develop healthy coping skills.
  • Build resilience, confidence, and hope for the future.
  • Prepare youth for a successful transition to independent living or the next step in their care journey.
Who We Serve:

Children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or exploitation and require intensive, short-term therapeutic support in a safe, supportive setting.

Our Commitment:

Dedicated staff work collaboratively with each youth to provide personalized care, stability, and a pathway toward healing and long-term well-being.

What We Need

We rely on community support to cover essential items and programs not funded by the State Reimbursement Program. Your financial gift helps ensure our STRTP residents have access to a healthy, supportive environment and the resources they need to heal and thrive.

Where your support goes:

• Personal care and essentials

• Educational materials, tutoring, and enrichment activities

• Transportation to appointments, school, and activities

• Therapeutic services and wellness programs

• Safe recreational activities and life-skills training

• Safety equipment and facility enhancements

Partnership opportunities: We’re seeking collaborations with programs and organizations that offer health-focused, youth-friendly experiences (fitness, mental health supports, nutrition and wellness, job readiness, mentorship, arts and STEM programs, and more). Together, we can create a robust, healthy ecosystem around our residents.

Ways to help:

• Donate: Financial gifts that fill gaps in funding

• Sponsor: Underwrite specific programs or activities

• Volunteer: Share time, expertise, and mentorship
